Cindy is a natural leader who is dedicated to building relationships and fostering collaboration. Her strong communication skills and ability to listen and respond to the needs of others make her an ideal candidate for the role of Teachers' Bargaining Unit President.

Political Action

Advocacy and Activism

  • Organizes rallies and protests to ensure our message of consistent and increased funding for public education is heard
  • Works with our Political Action Committee to engage members in elections and lobbying MPPs
  • She led the organizing for the Rally against Ford Fest in Milton this past summer with other unions, community and environmental groups including the Ontario Federation of Labour.

Government Relations

  • Lobbies MPPs both locally and at Queen's Park through Lobby Days, social media, emails, and letters
  • Consults with and participates in Riding Association meetings and rallies

Labor and Community Outreach

  • Is the First Vice President on our Oakville District Labour Council, which broadens our message to all labour
  • Works with the Guelph District Labour Council as a volunteer at the Mission
  • Works with her counterparts in the GTA to ensure members from across the region can participate in activities in their home ridings

Health and Safety

  • Health and Safety moved to the portfolio of the President to ensure pressure is kept on the Board
  • Has Part 1 and Part 2 Health and Safety Training through the Workers Health & Safety Centre.
